Birthday Recap!!!!

Whew… 26…
I had a GREAT day! I have the greatest family! Really I do…
Some tidbits about my birthday….
- My Mom and Dad made both my favorites… (Remember when I mentioned that I wanted both on my blog??). They made delicious peppermint cupcakes and six layer bars!
- I did have to work… but lucky me, my birthday landed on our departments Fall Festival. So I got free lunch and spent a couple hours playing games and hanging with coworkers. Pretty awesome if I do say so myself!
- Snuck a little nap in there.
- Got a couple awesome singing voicemails from my siblings.
- My Facebook page was flooded with birthday wishes! I really do have the best people in my life!
- Tylon made me the coolest card ever! Hand drawn Spongebob and Patrick card. I think I’ll frame it! He also got me Despicable Me and some mint M&M’s
-Got some pretty awesome gold glitter heels! ... I was tempted to sleep in them! Goodness I love shoes!
- Also got a sewing machine from my wonderful parents… and my siblings got me some make-up, those glitter heels, Spongebob Christmas and Parenthood Season 1!
- Watched the Biggest Loser Finale! - This was what Radon wrote in my card. Hilarious! I have decided to make Rainbows & Giggles my closing sentiments from now on...

I had a GREAT day!!! and not to worry...birthday celebrations aren't over... my friends are taking me out to The Cheesecake Factory saturday for lunch! Woot Woot!!!!

farewell 2009

As 2009 comes to a close its normal to reflect and think back to the past year.
To think of my goals I made at the beginning of the year.
To see what I have accomplished.
{I did not complete it all}
{but} I feel as though much has changed.
More so on an emotional {I’m changing} basis.

-In developing a crush I learned that my heart was healed and I was ready to fall for someone again.
-a friendship was broken. But I learned so much about myself. I learned how independent I am. I learned to not allow people to treat me like dirt. I learned to not let people take advantage of me. I learned I am stronger than I think I am.
-I realized what having true friends really means and I realized how it feels to have them in my life.
-I’ve stepped out of my comfort zone. Challenged myself to new things.
-Gained new friends while strengthening the friendships I have.
-I have seen my confidence grow.
-and I am learning to Love me! {which needs to happen first, before I can truly love someone else}

Other things happened as well…
-I went to California for the first time. And attended an Ellen taping.
-I graduated with my BS in Psychology.
-I also graduated from Institute.
-{and on the way to said graduation} I was in my first {full-on} car accident. Which resulted in getting a new car.
-Learned that I love to throw parties/showers for friends.
-I also learned I love to bake and cook. {As you have seen on Oh Snaps}

As I look back on this year, some of it seems so far away while at the same time speeding by. {Does that make sense?}

2008 in Rewind: (in no particular order)
- Completed my bachelors degree in Psychology!
- Got Bangs :)
- Made the decision to have a life changing surgery
- Threw an amazing bachelorette party for Kelly
- Got Crafty!
- Sang in church
- Started a blog...and a craft blog...
- Read Twilight (twice)
- Went to General Conference in April
- Got my first speeding ticket
- Participated in London's Run
- Went quading for the first time
- Went to 3 concerts ( Carrie, Keith, and Dashboard Confessional)
- Became addicted to Hobby Lobby
- Learned and admitted that I am a blog stalker

Plans for 2009:
- Get better with my finances
- Learn to play Guitar
- Learn how to crochet
- ROADTRIP ... up the west coast with my bestie!
- Hike Havasupai in May
- Write in my Journal more...
- Be more organized
- Become a better blogger

I am sure there are more...I just cant think right now...I will add them throughout the year.
