Movie Quote Friday

Definitely, Maybe
Love this movie... super cute. Abigail Breslin does a great job!

Will Hayes: Will you... um... marry me?
April: No. What do you mean, 'Will you, um, marry me?' I haven't seen you in weeks! You don't look happy or excited about the prospect of our marriage! You're asking me to give up my - my freedom, my joie de vivre for an institution that fails as often as it succeeds? And why should I marry you anyway? I mean, why do you wanna marry me? Besides some bourgeois desire to fulfill an ideal that society embeds in us from an early age to promote a consumer capitalist agenda?
Will Hayes: Oh! Oh, my God.
April: You should've got on your knee.
Will Hayes: Just shut up! Here - I wanna marry you because you're the first person I wanna look at when I wake up in the morning, and the only one I wanna kiss goodnight. Because the first time that I saw these hands, I couldn't imagine not being able to hold them. But mainly, when you love someone as much as I love you, getting married is the only thing left to do. So, will you, um, marry me?
April: Definitely. Maybe
Will Hayes: [hands Summer a bouquet of flowers] These are for you.
Summer Hartley: Oh, Will! Oh, they're beautiful. So are you.
Will Hayes: Summer. Don't mess with me. I can see where you're going with this. In a second you're going to say something impossibly charming.
Summer Hartley: Really?
Will Hayes: Yeah, it's gonna be great. And then you're gonna sweep me off my feet, and we all know where that's going.
Summer Hartley: [laughing] Can't a girl miss a guy?
Will Hayes: Yeah she can, but I just don't really have time for the pain.

Maya Hayes: You're right, it is complicated, isn't it? I mean, you're in love with April, who used to be in love with Lucas, and then she fell in love with you, but you were in love with Summer, who was always really in love with Hampton, and now that you're in love with April she's in love with Kevin... and no one's in love with you. That's complicated.
Will Hayes: Yep.

Eye Doctor

Mom and I went to the eye doctor today. It took 2 hours. And my pupils were so dilated. I definitely had a hard time seeing. I got some CUTE glasses, contacts, as well as colored contacts. I can not wait to get them. I have to wait 7-10 days. You all know how patient I am. HA! I am super excited...
Also, I heard of this website called Blurb. It is so neat. It will take your blog and make it into a book. How flippin neat is that. I am NOT a good journal writer. So my blog has become my journal. It is much easier. I am in the process of creating a book now. We will see how it turns out. So far it has been so easy!

Goings On

Yesterday while walking to the track, Chelsea and I noticed we were matching. How cute right. Ha. Mom did not get the memo. We also had a honker who declared to be our cheerleader. How sweet. Stuff like that makes one more motivated.

Tylon made Varsity for volleyball. AWESOME! I am so excited to start going to his games. I LOVE volleyball. Love to watch and I most of all LOVE to play it. Way to go Ty!

My bike already has a flat tire. I noticed it getting low after our adventure on Tuesday. On the way home somehow it happened. I need to buy a few tubes just in case. Because it will happen again. And I want to get a basket for it.

I have had a headache almost everyday this week. It sucks! I think I have been stressed about finishing up this class as I could care less to do any work. Sad I know. But I have next week off. I can not wait! Then one more class and I am done. For a little bit anyways.

Fact: 43 million people died last year due to kissing. You can cut your chances of dying by 700% if you stopped kissing. I don't have a problem with this. I have NOT kissed anyone. (Can't believe I just said that). I have nothing to worry about.

Chelsea posted some pictures on her blog. Go check it out!

Thanks all for the sweet comments!

Photo Shoot Photos

My mom and I went over to look at the pictures Jessica took for us. She did a great job and we had so much fun. Below are some of my favorites...

Thanks Mom and Chelsea for going with!
Jessica, again thanks a million!

Something New

I would like to introduce you to Elle (yes, as in Elle Woods, it reminds me of her)... my new purchase. Isn't she so cute!!! I got her yesterday and went for a bike ride with my mom...12 miles total. I must admit today my butt hurts like heck. It was fun. I can't remember the last time I rode a bike.

And Kendra from Posh Mama did a post about my new hat.

Weekend Update

I thought this weekend went by all too fast!
It always seems to do that. Darn It!
I stayed up entirely to late. And I did not do my homework.
This is my last week for this class. So I need to buckle down and get it done. Then one more class and then I finally graduate!
I got my hat in the mail. So excited I love it!
Go visit her site, she has really good prices. She sent me a $10 off coupon along with the hat so I just ordered this bag.
We also did our photo shoot with Jessica. It was so much fun and I can not wait to see the pictures.
It's only Monday and I am wishing it was Friday already.
I hope you all have a great week!

Movie Quote Friday!

So I know I already did this movie. New quotes were added to imdb. And it seems fitting for how I feel right now...

Gigi: Girls are taught a lot of stuff growing up. If a guy punches you he likes you. Never try to trim your own bangs and someday you will meet a wonderful guy and get your very own happy ending. Every movie we see, Every story we're told implores us to wait for it, the third act twist, the unexpected declaration of love, the exception to the rule. But sometimes we're so focused on finding our happy ending we don't learn how to read the signs. How to tell from the ones who want us and the ones who don't, the ones who will stay and the ones who will leave. And maybe a happy ending doesn't include a guy, maybe... it's you, on your own, picking up the pieces and starting over, freeing yourself up for something better in the future. Maybe the happy ending is... just... moving on. Or maybe the happy ending is this, knowing after all the unreturned phone calls, broken-hearts, through the blunders and misread signals, through all the pain and embarrassment you never gave up hope.

Gigi: I would rather be like that, then be like you.
Alex: Excuse me? What's that supposed to mean?
Gigi: I may dissect each little thing and put myself out there so much but at least that means that I still care. Oh! You've think you won because women are expendable to you. You may not get hurt or make an ass of yourself that way but you don't fall in love that way either. You have not won. You're alone. I may do a lot of stupid shit but I'm still a lot closer to love than you are.

Time

This past weeks lesson in institute was about time management and setting goals. We got this sheet full of quotes about better using our time. These ones really stood out to me.

" Many years ago I clipped an article out of a newspaper. It tells about an elevator boy who was whistling a merry tune while on his way up on the elevator one morning. "Why so happy?" a grim-faced, scowling rider asked him. The boy replied, "I've never lived this day before." The writer of the article comments: "This boy was wiser that his years. The only life we can live is today. Yesterday is behind us. However golden the hours, they cannot be lived again, but only remembered. Tomorrow is before us, and however sweet its expectations, the clock must tick its patent course before we can test our hope against reality. We can live no more than one day at a time." (Roy Pearson, Words to Live By)

"It sometimes seems that we live as if we wonder when life is going to begin. It isn't always clear just what we are waiting for, but some of us sometimes persist in waiting so long that life slips by - finding us still waiting for something that has been going on all the time. ... This is the life which the work of this life is to be done. Today is as much a part of eternity as any day a thousand years ago or as will be any day a thousand years hence. This is it,whether we are thrilled or disappointed, busy or bored! This is life, and it is passing."

How are you spending your time? Are you making the most of the time you have?

Weekend Update!

I got some pictures developed from that camera I bought remember ...
So here are a couple of the random pictures ... I just wanted to hurry and take them to see how they would turn out. I need to get better at using it as there were about 8 pictures that did not turn out at all...

(my legs look freakishly long)

(just being weird...what's new)

(so true!)

(last weekend when Callie came to visit, the guy at the concession counter was kind enough to take a picture. He did not understand how to use one of these film camera's. it was funny)

Also did the mountain on Saturday morning... it was hard but we got it done!
I am so happy to have tomorrow off....well I guess it is now today... I need to write a paper. I guess that's what I get for procrastinating...10 more weeks til graduation...UGH!

JUST

Have you ever really thought about the word 'JUST' ???
How often do you use it in your everyday conversations???
I was informed that using it belittles what follows...
Now think about that ... here are two examples ...
I just feel offened
or
I feel offened
You don't JUST feel. You DO feel.
Think about it the next time you use the word JUST ... I do every time.

Are you the exception....or are you the rule?

I saw 'He's Just Not That Into You' this past weekend. It was good. I liked it. I have had my share of experiences of the guy 'just not being into me'... Anyways some cute quotes from the movie....

"No matter how powerful and real your feelings may be for someone, if that person cannot fully and honestly return them and therefore actively love you back, these feelings mean nothing."

“I had this guy leave me a voice mail at work, so I called him at home, and then he emailed me to my BlackBerry, and so I texted to his cell, and now you just have to go around checking all these different portals just to get rejected by seven different technologies. It’s exhausting.”

"Don't be flattered that he misses you. He should miss you. You're deeply missable. However, he's still the same person who just broke up with you. Remember, the only reason he can miss you is because he's choosing, every day, not to be with you. "

I have more to come about this movie in regards to being the exception and not the rule....

Confessions of the Heart

Valentine's Day is coming
I can't say I really care for it
that could be because I have never been in a serious relationship.
So here is the confession...
I don't know if I have ever been in love.
I would like to think I have (only once)
I know I will someday
when the time is right.
and I will be looking for this ...

our eyes will always meet, even in a room full of people
our hands will fit perfectly to hold each other
you and i will forever finish each other's sentences effortlessly
we'll have plenty of inside jokes that makes us laugh and looks like fools
our midnight conversations always ends only when the sun starts shining,
with both of us sleeping on both end
we will take the longer walks home,
just so there's more time to spend together
you and i dont always have to speak to understand each other,
one look that's all it takes
we will eat off each other's plate just perfectly,
cause i like what you dont like, and you like what i dont
our friends gets nauseous, because when we stare into each other's eyes...
it seems like nothing else matters
as we lay next to one another, our bodies will seem like they are one
our favourite song will be magic moments,
because we'll never forget the moment we've kissed the night of the hay rise
we pass time by lounging on the big couch,
cuddling and talking over anything under the sun
our eyes cant lie, for its the window to the soul,
hence there's no need to constantly whispering i love you
and all these silly little things would made up to be... our relationship
(from here)

So, my dear future husband...your more than welcome to find me at any time,
I am patiently waiting!
xoxo, Me

Institute Lessons: Prayer and the Holy Ghost

Tonight the topic in institute focused on the Holy Ghost and Prayer. I LOVE these topics as I use them in everyday life and can definitely grow and learn in those areas. We went through a couple talks from Elder Bednar: Pray Always and Ask in Faith.
"Please notice the requirement to ask in faith, which I understand to mean the necessity to not only express but to do, the dual obligation to both plead and to perform, the requirement to communicate and to act."
I have learned of the importance of meaningful prayers and to follow up the prayer with action. Pressing Forward and not standing still.
I have a hard time understanding why people choose not to pray. The amazingly comforting feeling of being able to communicate with my Father in Heaven is such a great feeling. It helps so much and I notice the difference when I don't pray. I was asked advice on what I would do in a certain situation and my first thought was prayer. In all honesty I think my first thought when I struggle with something is turning to prayer. I just want to share my favorite scripture about prayer.

Alma 37: 36-37
36 Yea, and acry unto God for all thy support; yea, let all thy bdoings be unto the Lord, and whithersoever thou goest let it be in the Lord; yea, let all thy cthoughts be directed unto the Lord; yea, let the affections of thy heart be placed upon the Lord forever.
37 aCounsel with the Lord in all thy doings, and he will direct thee for bgood; yea, when thou liest down at night lie down unto the Lord, that he may watch over you in your sleep; and when thou risest in the cmorning let thy heart be full of thanks unto God; and if ye do these things, ye shall be lifted up at the last day.

Movie Quote Friday!

Kat Ellis: You know what pisses me off? I've been spilling my guts all weekend and I don't know a thing about you.
Nick Mercer: [pause] I'm allergic to fabric softener. I majored in comparative literature at Brown. I hate anchovies. And I think I'd miss you even if we never met.

Phoebe's tats

Yes... I am a huge Twilight fan. Can't you tell?
True Twilight fans understand the decal.
Many people have stopped to take pictures of it. It's fun!

I'm getting there

It all started with walking to the nearby junior high school. We would walk to the school to the track and then walk around the track a few times. It started with just walking. Then bleachers were added in. Then running one of the straights was added in. Then running both the straights was added in. And yesterday I ran a straight and a curve without stopping. That is a big deal for me. I am proud of that accomplishment. I do like to run. I wish I did not have to stop. I am looking forward to the day I don't. Just thought I would share...

I Heart Pedicures!

One of my favorite things is getting a Pedicure. Seriously. An all time favorite self-indulging pleasure that I LOVE having done. For those who know me well also know that I find the cutest part of my body are my toes. I think I have cute feet (thanks to my Mom). When I get a pedicure I always have them do the callous remover on my heels. For some reason I always have dry skin there. A lot of dry skin. I was told that its because of wearing flip flops. Well since I have been working where I am, due to dress code I can not wear flip flops and were socks and flats. I would have thought this would help. But it doesn't. So when I go there is always a lot of dead skin they are taking off. And I always get these looks from people sitting next to me that its disgusting. You know the look. People its just dry skin. At least I don't of ugly gnarly toes like yours. So for Heaven's sake stop staring. I can remove my dry skin...Nothing is going to change those toes of yours sorry...
Okay...sorry for that venting...It's irritating. I have also provided a picture of my pedicured feet so you can see for yourself that I don't have gnarly toes.

Brown Mountain - Take ?? 4 I think

Did the Mountain of Friday as we had some conflicting plans on Saturday. Chelsea was sick so it was my mom and I. It was ALOT easier this week. I did not stop once and just kept going. One of the ladies we visit teach and her husband were behind me. I think I did not want them to end up passing me and that pushed me to go faster. But I did it a lot faster and I am proud of that. I am looking forward to picking up more speed and giving my mom a run for her money. Thanks for going with me mom!

( not much a fan of this picture but I have to post something as proof right )
