The Truth is...

….I got my wish… I get a NEPHEW and a NIECE… I am so so darn excited… I already bought them each an outfit… I can’t wait till they make their appearance! My mind is already spinning for their dual baby shower… so excited!

…I remember making sugar cookies…I think with my Grandma… maybe not…maybe it was with my Mom… I just remember dipping the bottom of a glass cup in colored sugar and squashing the cookies down. I want to make some of those cookies….

… I can’t wait to spend some time with all my family this weekend… The best thing about Christmas is just being together.

… I think… no… I know… I’m gonna be the BEST Aunt… pretty much… yeah… ssshhhh…. Don’t tell the others!

weekend of Christmas parties!

This weekend was filled with Christmas parties… My Mom’s side was on Friday and my Dad’s side was on Saturday. It was fun to see everyone…And my friends took me to lunch at The Cheesecake Factory… so good!!! (Thanks Jessica!!!)

Yesterday wasn’t so fun… Tylon and I got some sort of stomach bug… which we are thinking may have come from a Christmas party as some of my other extended family got it too... so not fun… and now my mom isn’t feeling good. At least it is only a 24 hour bug…but seriously no fun… I’ll spare you the details…

Anyways… one of my favorite people in the world is taking me to get a pedicure for my birthday… I can’t wait!!! Birthday radius continued… also today Randon and Callie find out what they are having…. Did you see that Jadon and Amanda are going to have a boy…? SO EXCITED… I am going to be selfish and say I want Randon and Callie to have a girl… just so I can have one of each to love on… haha…

But I am at work… only 2.5 more hours to go… I am flexing 4 hours so I can leave 4 hours early Christmas Eve. So all is good. I am however a bit bored… thus the post.
{Besides I want to get out of just posting about my weekends and truths.}

Yesterday I exchanged Christmas gifts with Jessica and also got a birthday gift from her… I must say she is a pretty awesome gift giver… She made me an apron… Like the cutest apron ever; pink, black, and white with zebra print and polka dots. I love it. I wanted to sleep in it. She also got me a Spongebob lunch box. I am going to be the coolest girl at work now! And for Christmas I got a pair of nude peep toe heels and the new Bruno Mars CD… AWESOME right!!! Gosh I am so excited and so grateful!!!! {I still can’t get over that she made me an apron I absolutely LOVE it!}

My friends are taking me out to my favorite place {The Cheesecake Factory} for lunch today…. For my birthday… woot woot…

I suppose I should “get back to work” and be somewhat productive…. Pssshhhh…..

Birthday Recap!!!!

Whew… 26…
I had a GREAT day! I have the greatest family! Really I do…
Some tidbits about my birthday….
- My Mom and Dad made both my favorites… (Remember when I mentioned that I wanted both on my blog??). They made delicious peppermint cupcakes and six layer bars!
- I did have to work… but lucky me, my birthday landed on our departments Fall Festival. So I got free lunch and spent a couple hours playing games and hanging with coworkers. Pretty awesome if I do say so myself!
- Snuck a little nap in there.
- Got a couple awesome singing voicemails from my siblings.
- My Facebook page was flooded with birthday wishes! I really do have the best people in my life!
- Tylon made me the coolest card ever! Hand drawn Spongebob and Patrick card. I think I’ll frame it! He also got me Despicable Me and some mint M&M’s
-Got some pretty awesome gold glitter heels! ... I was tempted to sleep in them! Goodness I love shoes!
- Also got a sewing machine from my wonderful parents… and my siblings got me some make-up, those glitter heels, Spongebob Christmas and Parenthood Season 1!
- Watched the Biggest Loser Finale! - This was what Radon wrote in my card. Hilarious! I have decided to make Rainbows & Giggles my closing sentiments from now on...

I had a GREAT day!!! and not to worry...birthday celebrations aren't over... my friends are taking me out to The Cheesecake Factory saturday for lunch! Woot Woot!!!!

The Truth is...

... yesterday I turned 26... WOW... why does that seem SO much older than 25... someone explain! I had a GREAT birthday!!!!!

... remember that beauty contest thing I told you as a truth a few weeks ago... my mom posted the picture on her blog... check it out!

... Everywhere I go they either do not sell Dove Peppermint Bark... or they are sold out... Target my go to place...SOLD OUT... what the heck... this sends me into panic mode... I need me some DPB!

... I am extremely excited to be an Aunt... gosh I really don't want to wait 5 more months...sheesh! I told my sister in law that the only outfits I will buy are ones that say "I have the best Aunt ever"... and then use a Sharpie to write my name in there, as they will have other Aunts.... just need to let everyone know its me. Ha!

...I have taken Zumba a few times. One of the songs I heard on the radio yesterday. Yes, yes I did start doing some of the dance moves. Thankfully I was in my car!

... Christmas is in 10 days... 10 DAYS!!! I am so excited for all my family to be together!!!!

I got no sleep this weekend...

I will just start by saying I did not get enough sleep this weekend. Not at all!

Friday – Jessica & Preston visit! – Tylon got his mission call – Costco – shopping with Tashina – Jason’s Deli – Old Navy – Kohl’s (where I got heels for $19!) – Friends & family over for Tylon opening his call… so excited he is going to Madrid Spain – YSA Christmas Party – Village Inn with the friends after – Finally some sleep after NO NAP, that may be a Friday first!

Saturday – I was up early, no idea why – Target – Zumba class with Mom and Jessica (disappointed in that Zumba teacher. At least we know now not to go to her.) – Showered and getting ready for concert with Shay and Liz in Tucson. We saw Christina Perri, Ryan Star, Ingrid Michaelson, Plain White T’s, and Sara Bareillis….Awesome concert! Love that Sara did a version of Single Ladies…so neat! – Long drive back to Mesa, but listened to Glee to get me through – Getting to bed after 1:30.

Sunday – Church – Meeting – NO NAP – Went and heard Ty speak in our old ward, he did a great job – NO NAP after that ward either – Family over for birthday dinner for both Zach and I…yummy food… potstickers, egg rolls, chicken & beef skewers…DELICIOUSNESS!!! And Zach chose Haystacks for his dessert… I probably ate like 50...- We played some MOW! – Somewhat early bedtime.


Today I am hoping for a short nap after work before heading to the gym for some running and then Zumba. But this week we find out what Jadon and Amanda are having! Also have 2 family Christmas parties... and a birthday lunch with friends...oh yeah...and MY BIRTHDAY!!!!

Tylon got his mission call...

We were hoping it was coming Thursday...but no... so I waited patiently Friday to hear from Tylon if the mail had come... I got a text that said... "nothing again :(" ... and after I replied I was sorry.... I got this picture...That little stinker! I cried when I saw this picture. I am sure going to miss this kid!
He so very patiently waited to open that so family and friends could be here...
He was called to serve in the Madrid Spain mission... he reports to the MTC on April 27th... I am so excited for him. He is going to he one amazing missionary!

The Truth is...

... I am doing a 10k in January. yeah. me. scary!

... We get to choose our birthday desert... i am quite undecided... my normal is either pepermint cupcakes (or sugar cookies) with peppermint cream cheese frosting... my mom & I made those a couple weekends ago...and they were DELICIOUS!!! I want more... or... seven layer bars... maybe I can somehow get both in there... I'll work on it...

... I have had this desire to try out some fun tights with my sunday outfits... I haven't worn tights since I was like 8... nor do I currently own any... I am not sure I am even brave enough to try that...

... It happens all the time where I really want to see a movie when it gets to theaters...for example, Charlie St. Cloud... and I keep saying I will go see it and I never do... I just saw a preview for a new Channing Tatum movie coming out January 14th... I can't even remember the name of it... but that will not happen with this movie... I will see it... I will!!!!

... I made a new Glee mix CD... oh its one of my favorites... please dont mind my loud music if you are a passanger in my car... I find it completely necessary to belt it out with my glee friends... especially during my favorites; Hey, Soul Sister, Forget You, and Teenage Dream.

... I am pretty excited for this concert thing in Tucson Saturday...

What I did this weekend....

This weekend included…
- visiting Samantha - Napping – Shopping – seeing Tangled again (crying more the 2nd time than the 1st, but I blame Ty for that) – Shopping – Eating so much I want to throw up – Ward Christmas Party – Time with Preston & Jessica – Lunch with Bree before she leaves on her mission – Making plans to see Sara Bareilles, Ingrid Michaelson, and Plain White T’s this coming Saturday in Tucson….so excited! – Getting car maintenance done – GETTING OUR CHRISTMAS TREE! - Crafting – Decorating our Tree! – Family dinner & games – Christmas Devotional – Falling asleep on the couch

The Truth is...

… I am NOT a morning talker. It takes me a little time to wake up and be social. I have been picking up a co-worker in the morning to take to work… and she is a talker. I try to be social…although sometimes I think I may come across as grouchy. Oops!

…If I put on a pair of socks and then take them off I will NOT put the same pair back on. Once taken off they are considered dirty; even if I only wear them to bed or even for just an hour.

…Sometime I like to go to the theater to see a movie just for the popcorn.

…Guess who’s birthday is coming… ME… and Zach… we are the same age for 5 days…then I turn a year older… but that makes us Irish twins…. We grew up having joint birthday parties. Most memorable was the carnival my parents did in our backyard. We had a clown and everything. It was pretty awesome.

...I miss my long hair. Went through some old pictures... Grow back fast(er)!
