Movie Quote Friday!

Flicka

Rob McLaughlin: Help me understand something, Katie. He said he gave you the topic to your final essay in advance, and you turned in a blank paper. Not one word, and two hours for the exam.
Katherine "Katie" McLoughlin: I wrote it in my head-just didn't put it down.
Rob McLaughlin: In your head.
Katherine "Katie" McLoughlin: Wouldn't have made a difference anyway. They just want us to spit back exactly what they wanna hear. I have an opinion, its just not their opinion.
Katherine "Katie" McLoughlin: Calm down, Flicka.
Nell McLaughlin: You named her?
Katherine "Katie" McLoughlin: Flicka. That is the word, isn't it?
Gus: Oh, yeah. Beautiful um... young girl.
Jack: Well, you got the girl part right.
Nell McLaughlin: To Rob: "When are you going to look at your daughter... and realize that she's you?"

Jack: Speaking of which, you gonna put your brand on that little schoolgirl this summer?
Nell McLaughlin: You know Jack, we stopped branding our females a few years back. Isn't that right, Rob?
Rob McLaughlin: Kinda miss it, though.
Jack: Well, take it from an expert. Don't let that little Flicka get away.
Nell McLaughlin: The what?
Jack: It means uh... pretty girl or somethin'? It's what Gus calls Katie.
Nell McLaughlin: Oh he does, does he?
Gus: Uh, Flicka is just young girl, innocent. You can see in her face the beauty she will become. I uh-I think its Swedish. My momma use to call my little sister Flicka. Rob McLaughlin: How bad is the horse? Go back and put her down.
Jack: She'll hear the shot.
Rob McLaughlin: She'll think its thunder.
Jack: No she won't. Look, Katie's smart. She sees things. Little details most people ignore. The ones that make a difference.
Gus: She'll know it's Flicka.
Rob McLaughlin: I can't let that animal suffer. I'll do it myself. Katherine "Katie" McLoughlin: The stories we hear about how the West was won are all lies. The history of the West was written by the horse. Wherever a settler left his footprint there was a hoof print beside it. Men came further and further west to stake their claim on the great American wilderness. But they encountered a strength that couldn't be tamed - wild horses. Mustangs. The settlers called them parasites that would strip the land and starve their own herds. They couldn't domesticate them so they destroyed them. Isolated and hungry, they were on their way to disappearing from the face of the earth. Sometimes when the light disappears an afterimage remains - just for a second. Mustangs are an afterimage of the West, no better then ghosts, hardly there at all. No one really wants them, not ranchers, not city people - that's their destiny. Let them disappear once and for all, along with all the other misfits, loners, and relics of a wilderness no one cares about anymore. Lucky for us a few mustangs survived, hidden away in the mountains. We need to protect them, for they are the hope of some kind of living memory of what the promise of America used to be - and could be again. I believe there is a force in this world that lives beneath the surface, something primitive and wild that awakens when you need an extra push just to survive, like wildflowers that bloom after fire turns the forest black. Most people are afraid of it, and keep it buried deep inside themselves. But there will always be a few people who have the courage to love what is untamed inside us. One of those men is my father. There was once a time when Americans came West to discover their destiny. Today they seem to move around every which way, restless and unsettled. But I think they're still looking for the same thing - a place where they can be optimistic about the future, a place that helps them to be who they really want to be, where they can feel that this life makes sense, a place where they can feel what I feel when I'm riding Flicka - because when we're riding, all I feel... is free.

Confession Wednesday

I am/was a DIE HARD Nsync fan.
Yup.
I loved them.
Any poster I ever got went on my wall.
My first love would be Mr. Justin Timberlake himself. Yessirree.
I had a wall in my room dedicated to Justin. All Justin posters from corner to corner.
I would record anything and everything that had to do with Nsync when it came on TV.
My favorite would be there special Disney Concert.
I was a fan club member.
I wrote to Justin. I am sure he got my heartfelt letters.
They were my first concert.
My favorite colors changed to baby blue and yellow. {ahem...Justin's favorites}
I still think they are amazing.
I still jam out to their music.
I still know all the words.
I actually just got in a heated discussion with a friend Monday night.
I will defend those boys till my dying day.

Movie Quote Friday!

In Her Shoes

Maggie Feller: Your 10-year high school reunion. Everybody wants to make a good impression and I was making mine on Ted, Tad?, whatever...
Maggie Feller: Shoes like these should not be locked in a closet! They should be living a life of scandal, and pasion and getting screwed in an alleyway by a billionaire while his frigid wife waits in the limo thinking that he just went back into the bar to get his cellphone. These are cute too.
Rose Feller: Please tell me you just made that up.
Maggie Feller: Look, if you're not going to wear them... don't buy them! Leave them for someone who's going to get something out of them.
Rose Feller: I get something out of them! When I feel bad I like to treat myself. Clothes never look any good... food just makes me fatter... shoes always fit.
Maggie Feller: The art of losing isn't hard to master; so many things seem... f... filled... with the intent to be lost that their loss is no disaster. Lose something every day. Accept the fluster of lost door keys, the hour badly spent. The art of losing isn't hard to master. I lost two cities, lovely ones. And, vaster, some realms I owned, two rivers, a continent. I miss them, but it wasn't a disaster. Even losing you... the joking voice, a gesture I love... I shan't have lied. It's evident the art of losing's not too hard to master though it may look like... Write it!... like disaster.
Simon Stein: You look good. You look like you.
Rose Feller: What are you doing here?
Maggie Feller: I live here. What are you doing here?
Rose Feller: You live here? In an old folks home?
Maggie Feller: It's a Retirement Community for Active Seniors.
--------------------------------------
Rose Feller: Why can't I just stay mad at you?
Maggie Feller: Because we're a pair. Like... Sonny and Cher.
Rose Feller: They broke up.
Maggie Feller: But they remained quite close.
Maggie Feller: I carry your heart with me. I carry it in my heart. I am never without it. Anywhere I go, you go, my dear. And whatever is done by only me... is your doing, my darling. I fear no fate... for you are my fate, my sweet. I want no world, for, beautiful... you are my world, my true. Here is the deepest secret no one knows. Here is the root of the root... and the bud of the bud... and the sky of the sky of a tree called life... which grows higher than the soul can hope... or mind can hide. It is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart. I carry your heart. I carry it in my heart.

Weekend Update

Wow….It’s already Monday. {well....now Monday is over}

Friday I had a h
alf day at work. So I got off at 9:00 am and met Zach at the gym. I had him take that training class with me. It was killer. I stopped by Jessica’s to drop off some movies. To chit-chat. And well of course to hold Preston. Even though my arms felt like Jell-O. I couldn’t resist. I had his overall imprint in my arm for quite some time. Loved it! Erin and I made our way out to Florence for Country Thunder. Did you see my post below of my love for Keith. Hmm… It was fun. Keith was worth the 8 hours of standing, the drunks, the almost naked people, and the craziness. Keith was worth it. I just told myself that OVER and OVER. I got home super late. And well. It was painful to even walk. {After standing that long and that class earlier I was hurting.}

Randon and Callie came Friday evening. But well I was with Keith. So I missed out on seeing them.
Saturday. I slept in. It felt so good. My body was in desperate need of some sleep. I ran some errands with Zach and Ty and we went to lunch at Jason’s Deli. Seriously that place is evil! We had fun with the family celebrating Callie’s birthday… Which is today…..
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CALLIE!!!!
We ate some delicious chocolate covered strawberries. {So easy to make. I probably wish I didn’t know that. because now I want them ALL the time!}

And now it is already Monday night. Where has the time gone! I had my GPT class today. And well I'm posting pictures of what this class is doing to me over on my Flab to Fab blog. It looks like someone is beating me up. Well. I am actually, doing it to myself. Hmm...

I am so ready for bed! Looking forward to this work week being over.
Hope you all had a GREAT weekend!

Oh my Keith!

Okay....so if you know me.
You know of my undying love for Keith, Keith Urban (we are on a first name basis.)
I have seen him in concert now a total of 4 times. I have been to many a concert and he is BY FAR the best performer. {If you like him the tiniest bit I highly recommend that you go see him.} Alright, moving on. I just saw him last July and it seems like his tour this year was doing like music festivals and such. So this year he was at Country Thunder. This was all the first time I have been to Country Thunder {Erin came with me}. And I wont go again.
{Unless of course Keith plays there}
If I was to go again I would definitely pay for VIP tickets.
Because the people there were crazy!!!!! CRAZY!
We saw Luke Bryan perform. As well as Kevin Costner and his band (What?!?) yeah, he has a band. I was about ready to scratch my eyes out. But ya know. People left to go get beer and food so we got to move up. We got fairly close. Which was nice. Anywho. I won't bore you with my 637 pictures {totally kidding I only have like 30} and all my videos. So I will just post my favorite picture and video.{I think he should wear hats more often..hmmm}

{Yes, I do believe Ketih and I had eye contact.
I mean I stood out in that crowd. I was fully clothed. }

To the man I will someday love,
You would win me over if you loved Keith too. Serious brownie points there. I'm just saying...
xoxo,
Your Everything :)

Movie Quote Friday!

No Reservations

Therapist: Kate, I'm sure you will be able to prevent the worst from happening.
Kate: And that would be?
Therapist: That he will tolerate you for any length of time.
Kate: I know I'm doing everything wrong, but I promise you that I will always be here for you.
Zoe: [pause] Kate? You're not doing *everything* wrong.
Kate: Oh, I see you've brought something to read to Zoe.
Charlotte: It's for my thesis... rapidly mutating deadly viruses.
Kate: What are we going to do about work?
Nick: What we always do. You tell me what to do and then I'll go behind your back and do whatever I want.
Therapist: Why do you come to see me every week?
Kate: My boss said she'd fire me if I didn't get therapy.
Therapist: Why do you think, she thinks you need therapy? Why?
Kate: You know what, I haven't the faintest idea
Kate: I wish there was a cookbook for life, you know? Recipes telling us exactly what to do. I know, I know, you're gonna say "How else will you learn, Kate."
Therapist: mm. No, actually I wasn't going to say that. You want to guess again?
Kate: No, no, go ahead.
Therapist: Well what I was going to say was, you know better than anyone, it's the recipes that you create yourself that are the best.

{cute movie....I love that little girl. She does such a good job in every movie she is in....
Fell in love with Aaron Eckhart in this movie}

Randomness

Guess what tomorrow is?????
Yeah Friday! Woot Woot!!!
Well not only that.But I have a half day at work…
{plus that group personal training class}
and then…..Country Thunder!!!!
Because I have a date with Keith Urban!!!! {oh I wish}------------------------------------------------
The absolute wonderful Belen passed this award on
{Who also has an Etsy shop, of which i just purchased and recieved beautiful headbands...}{I think you should go check her out...because I think she is amazing. She has been so so supportive through this weight loss journey of mine.}
-----------------------------------------
My last experience at my Group Personal Training Class was a nightmare....
I posted about it on my Flab 2 Fab page....
CHECK IT OUT!!!!
{and on top of that my trainer said Id probably gain weight because of the muscle I am building. Um not the news i want to hear in a WEIGHT LOSS challenge. So that was discouraging. I hope he is wrong and that I DO lose weight....I have plenty to lose}
----------------------------------------
And I must say how grateful and appreciative I am for your support.
...the comments...
...the emails....
The texts on the days I have that class that push me to do better,
that remind me what I am doing.
It helps so so much!!!
I have the greatest friends/family ever!!!!
THANK YOU!!!!!

Weekend Update

Umm.... I think this weekend went by much to fast.
Anyone else agree???

FRIDAY - After going to the gym...My Mom and I went and got a pedicure. My legs were so badly wanting that Hot Stone Massage that I couldn't say no. And I must say the soreness was so much less after having had that. It was fantastic. We then went to a Cowboy Dinner. Were I got to hold this little guy for a bit {aint he cute, those overalls are dang cute!} My Mom, Amanda, and I then went shopping. I saw this cute dress at Down East Basics that I so badly wanted. No success. But I did find another. That if I lose just a bit more would be really cute. So I am thinking I will go back and get that one....

SATURDAY - I got up at 6:30am. Yeah. On a weekend. Crazytown! Jessica and I hiked that mountain. And I had another Group Personal Training Class. I had to hurry home to shower and get ready for a baby shower for my cousin. It was so so good to see her and extended family. That night we had a multi-stake YSA dance. {kinda lame} but I went. No, my future husband was not there. I did win for Best Hair. I did a few line dances. I did ask a couple boys to dance. And few friends and I went to TGIFriday's afterwards. It was a fairly good night.

SUNDAY- I made BROWNIES! Yup. I have been craving them all week. Today I allow myself a bit more freedom. So I made some brownies. They were heavenly.

It was a great weekend. Busy. But so great! Now...I am already ready for next weekend. Because I get to see Keith Urban. I can't wait!!!!!

Today....

...I am really wishing I was at the beach.
...I have decided to treat myself to a pedicure, tomorrow.
...I was reminded what Saturday is going to bring. Twice. {Thanks for the reminder Jessica}...I would of much rather just laid in bed. And not moved.
...I walked around the parking lot at work. It’s a huge parking lot. Took 30 minutes.
...I was not motivated to work.
...I officially signed up for the Group Fitness Training Class. Meaning, I am paying for it.

Weekend Update

I had Friday off. I got up and went to the gym. Right off. It was nice to get that over with bright and early. Later, I went to see The Last Song with Jessica. Geez! I cried a bunch. Why did I forget to bring tissues? I enjoyed it. That night our YSA group went to the Easter Pageant. It was really nice. Amanda and I joined the Broughton’s at In N’ Out afterwards. {Don’t worry I didn’t get anything}

Saturday I got up before 7am and Jessica and I hiked that mountain. We were done within 20 minutes. {I wasn’t even sore the next day} I enjoyed watching General Conference. That evening I went out with Amanda and Sis. Broughton as we are looking for a new outfit for a dance this coming weekend. We ate at a really good pizza place, Casanova Bro. Pizza. Dang! It was delicious! And yes I did have a piece. {Shame on me!}

Easter Sunday. It was really nice to get up and enjoy conference. We had our traditional lunch of crackers with eggs, ham, cheese, and pickles. I loved it! Everyone came home for dinner {including Amanda, Kaylee, and Liz} it was fantastic. I love spending time with my family.

I had a really nice weekend! And loved being with my family!

{Did you see my Flab to FAB updates for the weekend? What about our Week 1 weigh in video???

Movie Quote Friday!

What Happens in Vegas

Tipper: You know what? I can get a couple of my brother's loser friends to go over to Mason's apartment , knock on the door and when he opens it wham! They'll junk-punch him all up in his man business and he'll fall to the floor whaling and crying "why?" and then we'll say "you know why!"
Joy McNally: Wow! Did you just make that up?
Tipper: No, I thought about it a lot on the way over
Jack Fuller: [standing outside the bathroom door] Can you hurry up?
Joy McNally: [from inside the bathroom, taking her time] Almost done!
[walks into the kitchen to find Jack pissing in their sink]
Jack Fuller: Oh yeah, this is really happening. Oh, and it's your day for dishes.
Jack Fuller Sr.: You're like a son to me.
Jack Fuller: Dad, I am your son.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Jack Fuller: ...We got robbed. All they took was the door.
Tipper: I just wanna junk-punch him in his man business.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Hater: This is my lesbian sister. Tell them about your softball team, tell them about your team.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Tipper: If I could kill someone with my mind right now, it would be you.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Joy McNally: Is there any part of the night, I don't know, maybe say the part where I was about to marry the rebound guy, that you thought, 'hey oh my God, this is a really good time for an intervention'?
Tipper: [extremely hungover] Seriously?
Joy McNally: Yeah.
Tipper: I like... threw up in my own purse... so...
Judge R. D. Whopper: ...Listen, I've been married for twenty five years to the same wonderful, infuriating woman. And granted there are days when I want to light her on fire but I don't, because I love her. And that would be illegal. And you know something, and I might be old fashioned but when I said those vows, I meant them. Joy McNally: The grown-ups have to go to work today... What are you going to do all day?
Jack Fuller: I don't know yet
[shoves cereal in mouth]
Joy McNally: Hmph.
Jack Fuller: I'd rather do nothing and be happy than do something I know I don't love.
Joy McNally: Words to live by, Yanni. Jack Fuller: If you stop betting, you never have to lose.
Joy McNally: I'd bet on you, Jack.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Jack Fuller: [accepting an award] I have to thank my wife Joy. She probably never told you all the story about how we met. It might come as a surprise to many of you that we didn't know each other for very long before we got hitched. What can I say - when you know, you know.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Hater: You're falling for your wife! Idiot! Jack Fuller: Will to be married to me... again?
Joy McNally: [sighs] Being with you makes me be myself again so I will be married to you... again.
[they kiss]
Joy McNally: I quit my job.
Jack Fuller: Good thing we have a ton of money!

{I think Tipper makes this movie. LOVE IT!!!!}
