The Truth Is...

…90% of my bruises come from the gym, most of the time I am not exactly sure how. But like when I went Monday and was talking to a lady and noticed she had the same bruises she was able to tell me how we got them. Because for the life of me I could not figure it out. Dang kettle bells, how did I forget?

…My big toe on my right foot is double jointed. My left one used to be.

…I always seem to have a problem with my nose….too runny…too dry… it’s always something.

(Wow….I seem pretty boring today…)

…I am back to being done with guys. They are bothersome. I like this (being done with guys thing)…because I don’t have something driving me crazy on my mind or worrying about something… life is just easier...just know next time I’m not gonna share… haha. Told you it jinxes things.

…lately Nickelodeon has been my channel of choice…when my TV is on.

{I definitely think you should play along... What are your truths???}

Weekend Update

Uhhh

I’m working off of 2.5 hours of sleep.
It’s my own fault. Games at my house last night.
Needless to say the weekend went incredibly fast!

Friday-- *Half Day *Time with Jessica & Preston *Biggest Loser (Who’s watching????) *NAP *Finished making 47 flowers for headbands/hairclips*Randon & Callie came for the weekend *Wal-Mart *Games

Saturday-- Sleeping in *Down East Basics…great clearance! *Old Chicago with Tylon, Kaylee, Callie, & Mom *Everyone together (Zach, Shay, Jadon & Amanda came over)*Photo Shoot *Jane Austen movie marathon (Emma & Pride & Prejudice)…and yes… I love Pride & Prejudice so much that I gave quite the warning concerning any criticizing in regards to the movie.

Sunday-- *I got a calling at church in Young Women’s… Beehive Advisor… I am super excited! *Family Lunch …yummy Chimichangas *Games together with the family *NAP time…longest nap ever it was wonderful! *Game night with friends at my house …Tons of fun. Got a little up close and personal playing, “Honey if you love me won’t you please please smile”…ever played it? The person in the middle has to go to another person and try and get them to smile…let’s just say you no longer have a personal bubble if someone was trying to get you to smile. Pretty Hilarious! *Not a good night sleep, lots of tossing and turning

But the good news is I WILL get a nap before Boot camp tonight
… so that’s what is getting me through work…

Happy Monday!

The Truth Is...

….ummm….the truth is I can’t think of any truths. My mind is not with me today… (and 5 hours have passed since this began…)

…it hasn’t been the best day. I have 3 more hours of work to go. Then boot camp. My stomach doesn’t want stuff in it. (dear body, you will need food/water for boot camp tonight, or else I wont survive)

… I am not a touchy feely person. I flinch when guys touch my arm or I pull away (don’t ask why…I don’t know and I hate that I do it…I don’t realize it till later). And I am definitely not good with the whole flirty touch them thing. My sis-in-law is trying to help me with this…but you can’t really practice it… I am at least aware of this… I am working on it.

….I am pretty picky about my pajama pants… my favorite come from Old Navy…

…okay….these are dull… I am going to work on taking note this week of truths. Because I did think of some throughout the week…but guess what… I didn’t write them down…because who thought that they would be able to remember them. Guess who was wrong?!?!

{Play along…What are your truths?}

Movie Quote Friday

Raising Helen

Sarah Davis
: [about the turtle] Can you call it Hippo?
Henry Davis: Why do you call everything Hippo?
Sarah Davis: Because I can spell it!
-----------------------------------
Pastor Dan Parker: I'm a sexy man of God, and I know it.Audrey Davis: You treat me like a child, I am not a child!
Helen Harris: Yes, you are, you are a child Audrey and you deserve a childhood and you should fight for it but if you wont, then I will. Now give me your fake I.D
Audrey Davis: Why?
Helen Harris: Because I said so. Give me your I.D.
Audrey Davis: [gets fake I.D. out of her purse and throws it at Helen]
Helen Harris: That was very adult of you.
Audrey Davis: [shouts] You tricked me! I thought you were on my side, but you're just like her.
Audrey Davis: [points at Aunt Jenny]
Audrey Davis: [shouts] I hate you, do you hear me, I hate you!
Helen Harris: Well, I guess we are just gonna have to learn to live with that.Helen Harris: Henry, we have to go, stop brushing your teeth! They're gonna fall out.
--------------------------------
Jenny Portman: [as she examines the new apartment] I bet this is lead paint. Kids, no chewing on the window sills!
Helen Harris: Yeah, stick to the table legs like I taught you.Audrey Davis: What is the matter with you? Don't you remember what it's like to be young?
Helen Harris: Of course I do... it was last Wednesday!
----------------------------
Sarah Davis: Does my nose boogie look green?
Dominique: Yes, sort of Prada green, not their best collection. Put it away now.Pastor Dan Parker: Let's talk about some things you could do at home.
Helen Harris: You wanna know what I've been doing at home? I've been doing the best I can. Do you have any idea what this has done to my life?
Pastor Dan Parker: Hey, Helen, you have any idea what it's done to theirs?
Helen Harris: Hey, Pastor Dan? Mr. Self-righteous? I'm hanging on by a thread here. I lost my sister, my social life, my disposable income, my ability to fit into a size 2, and - this just in - my job. Pretty much the only two things that haven't disappeared are my nicotine fits and a few pounds that have recently taken up residence on my ass. So forgive me if I'm not too thrilled about being lectured, in Queens, about being a lousy legal guardian to three kids who maybe shouldn't have been given to me in the first place.
[Helen starts to read Jenny's letter from Lindsay]
Helen Harris: Dear Jenny, If you're reading this, you know that I'm gone. And I asked Helen to be the guardian for the kids.
Lindsay Davis: [voiceover] And you're probably freaked about it. Yes, it's a surprising choice, considering that you are the most incredible mother I've ever known. If you find this letter odd, understand that my "always be prepared" Paul convinced me to write it now while our children are young. You must know from experience that when it comes to picking somebody else to raise your kids, no one seems right. No one is you. And so you choose someone who is most like you. Someone that will give the kids a taste of their real mom, the mom they lost and never really got to know. In so many ways, we are so much alike, that's why I chose Helen. Of course, she'll have lots of fights with the kids, yet she'll find a way to make up. I know sometimes she messes things up and makes big mistakes. On the other hand, she also makes big comebacks. Respect her Jenny. Give her a shot. We're family and I'm counting on you to keep everyone together. I know, Helen will certainly need some help learning how to be a mother to my kids, but I've got you for that. And who could be better? After all, you raised Helen, you'll teach her how to be a mom. Just like you taught her how to tie her shoes. I can still hear you telling her, "The bunny goes around the tree, and into the burrow...
Helen Harris: [watches Sarah tie her shoe] Pull tight.

{CUTE movie...love the little kid actors in this movie... you know they are siblings in real life too??}

The Truth Is...

… No more GPT for me. Something worse. Something much worse. Yeah. I might be a bit dramatic but really. Long story short…my trainer was pulled off of GPT, me = not happy, sent an email to head honchos. And now my trainer is doing his own thing, a boot camp. My first class was Monday. I wanted to cry. I thought GPT was bad. This was worse. Much worse. Anyone wanna come do it with me???

…They blocked Pandora here at work. Which was my first clue it was going to be a bad day. And I did not finish syncing my phone so no music on my phone. Plus working additional hours today. Then boot camp. It can always be worse. I gotta think positive...

… I used to play Diablo. You know the computer game. I completely forgot until I was talking with Jessica & Patrick. Then it all came back. I was obsessed with it. How did I forget?

… Netflix on my phone. Genius. I can watch Spongebob, boom, like that. I love it.

… I have never been to the State Fair. I am determined to go this year. It’s a goal.

Weekend Update

Friday: Started off by going to Jessica’s, catching up and chilling with Pdub. We then went to the mall to check out the Glee apparel at Macy’s. (Good stuff by the way) Made a few other stops, like you know Down East Basics. Also may have possibly gone into Claire’s... because of the Glee posters saying they had Glee merchandise….and may have made a quick walk through the store…not finding the said Glee stuff and may have loudly asked where their Glee stuff is in a voice of panic. May have happened. (no need to worry Glee merch was right in front. Don’t know how that was missed)… moving on. Helped Jessica dip her Oreo truffles. Realizing that someone, anyone should create a way to dip those things easier… I thought that Pioneer Woman could…but then realized she probably doesn’t make cake pop/Oreo truffles. Who knows. Maybe I can talk her into it. Help us figure out a solution. That night was a surprise birthday party for Natalie. She was surprised = success! Randon and Callie came in town that evening. We ate some good food. Watched The Killers (please watch it…hilarious!) and stayed up late talking (best part of their visits).

Saturday: I stupidly signed up a few days prior to take an Abs Clinic class thing at the gym as my trainer was teaching it and then agreed to take his group personal training. Yes I know. Ridiculous! Was able to talk with Callie for a while. (Loved that) After a shower and attempt at a nap I made a trip with Randon and Zach to the Apple store. Found out that I had to get the new software for my Mac in order to get the new iTunes update. And I am so so grateful Randon was here to help me. or well…here to do it for me. We then met up with the rest of the family at Chili’s which was so nice. I love being together with my family. We had so much fun. Jadon and Amanda were able to join us too. It was great. We went back home and played some games. Shay and her friend Liz came and played along. And then we all went to bed early.

Sunday: Was the first Sunday in our new ward. I think 8:00 am church is the best. The new ward is nice and I actually get to go to YSA class & relief society. Hopefully that lasts a long time. Church was followed by family lunch and more games. FACT: Sunday naps are the absolute best! Tylon and I are singing in a choir this coming weekend so we had a practice, rushed home to eat and then had to get to a Fireside, which was great. Did some socializing afterwards and then went and played games for a couple hours.

So needless to say I am tired. 3.5 hours of sleep will do that too you I guess. Mondays are the worst. Longer work day, gym, and then FHE. YAY Mondays! (*sarcasm*)

Happy Monday!!!!

Movie Quote Friday

The Cinderella Story

Sam: Once upon a time, in a far away kingdom, lived a beautiful little girl and her widowed father.
-----------------------------------
Sam's Dad: Never let the fear of striking out, keep you from playing the game.
Sam: Don't you know who I am?
Austin: Of course I do. You're Princeton Girl. You're the girl I've been waiting to meet. I know exactly who you are! What's your name?
-----------------------------
Austin: I can be surrounded by a sea of people and still feel all alone... Then I think of you.Sam: So... Who'd you guys pay to make your cars so dirty?
Brianna: Excuse me? Like, what are you, the Dirt Police?
Gabriella: [laughs] Yeah! The Dirt Police! Like, excuse me miss, do you know how fast your dirt was going?
Brianna: You should've stopped at the Dirt Police.
-----------------------------------
Fiona: [to Sam] People go to school to get smarter, so that they can get a job. You already have a job, so it's like skipping a step.Fiona: No honey, leave those on! The lawn's looking a little brown.
Sam: You know we're supposed to be conserving water! We're in the middle of a drought!
Fiona: Droughts are for poor people, you think J-Lo has a brown lawn? People who use extra water have extra class.
Sam: Sometimes, fantasies are better than reality.
----------------------
Fiona: I am very, very, very, very upset about this.
Brianna: You don't look upset.
Fiona: Oh, it's the Botox. I can't show emotion for another hour and a half.
Austin: Sam! Okay, I know you think that I'm just some...
Sam: Coward? Phony?
Austin: Okay, just listen.
Sam: No, you listen. You turned out to be exactly who I thought you were. I never pretended to be somebody else. It's been me all along. And it was me who was hurt in front of everybody. Look, I didn't come here to yell at you, okay? I came to tell you that I know what it feels like to be afraid to show who you are. I was, but I'm not anymore. And the thing is, I really don't care what people think about me... because I believe in myself. And I know that things are gonna be okay. But even though I have no family, and no job, and no money for college... it's you that I feel sorry for.
David: Heads up! Yo, five minutes.
Austin: I'm coming!
Sam: I know that guy that sent those emails is somewhere inside of you, but I can't wait for him... because waiting for you is like waiting for rain in this drought. Useless and disappointing.
[walks away]
Austin: SAM!
[punches locker]Sam: Austin? What are you doing?
Austin: Something I should have done a long time ago.
[he kisses her, it starts to rain, they both look up]
Austin: Sorry I waited for the rain.
Sam: It's okay.
------------------------------------------------------
Sam: And lived happily ever after. At least for now. Hey, I'm only a freshman!

{LOVE this movie. Fell in LOVE with Chad in this movie! swoon}

The Truth Is...

…In church the other week we were singing a hymn. I noticed that there were "quotation" marks around certain words and phrases in the song. I asked my family how you are supposed to sing those words/phrases. Are they sung any different? Why the quotation marks? We proceeded to do air “quotation marks” when we sang those words/phrases through the rest of the hymn.

…In general, I'm NOT a fan of others touching my face. Especially if you are someone I don’t really know. We were playing Ultimate Frisbee last night and some of the guys thought it was funny to put their nasty sweaty hands in our faces…nope. Not a fan!

…I buy movies and books that I hear are really good. The problem is I don’t watch/read them. Don’t really know why. Not enough time maybe.

... I have never worn a dress or skirt to work. Not sure I ever will.

... I am loving my Joshua Radin Pandora station right now.

... Oh yeah.... Down East Basics was having a HUGE swim sale. I finally bought a swim top (or 3) ...just in time for summer to be over. But hey, I will be prepared for next year.

{I kinda think you should PLAY along!}

Movie Quote Friday

Date Night

Claire Foster: What are we going to do? We can't go home, we can't go to the police...
Phil Foster: Okay, okay, okay. Miletto, he wants the Tripplehorns, why? Because they have the flash drive. All right, what if they gave him the flash drive back?
Claire Foster: Why would they do that?
Phil Foster: Because we're going to find them and we're going to *make* them do it. Once Miletto has the flash drive, this thing ends.
Claire Foster: Okay, I like that. I am completely with you. I just have to ask you one question, and do not judge me. What is a flash drive?
Phil Foster: Seriously?
Claire Foster: Phil, I can't...
Phil Foster: Okay, it's a little storage disk that you stick in the side of a laptop.
Claire Foster: Oh, it's a computer sticky thing? That's... in my office, we call it a computer sticky thing.
Claire Foster: If we are going to pay this much for crab it better sing and dance and introduce us to the Little Mermaid!
-----------------------------
Taste: What are you doing here?
Claire Foster: We didn't have a reservation, so we took yours, and now they think that we're you.
Taste: You just took our reservation?
Whippit: What kind of people are you?
Claire Foster: It's not a big deal.

Phil Foster: You put *your* junk in reverse!
------------------------------------
Claire Foster: Honey, if I'm gonna get whacked off, I...
Claire Foster: What are you smiling about?
Phil Foster: No, no. We might get bumped off, we're not going to get whacked off.
Claire Foster: I think we are.
Phil Foster: My wife and I are on a date, we were hoping to get here earlier, actually get a table.
Waiter: Didn't quite make it, did you?
Phil Foster: We'll be standing over there.
Waiter: Okay, I've already forgotten about you.
Phil Foster: Alright
-----------------------------------------
Phil Foster: He turned the gun sideways! That's a kill shot!
Phil Foster: What was that? Who were you upstairs? Who was that giggly, charming person? When you took one look at him you lit up like a sparkly sparkler. And I get it because I lit up too! He is super hot! Why, why do you need muscles on your shoulders like that? And I am just a husband, just a dork who doesn't know how to load the dishwasher. I am the guy who needs to work out more. Phil Foster: I'd do it again you know? Us, you, me the kids, all of it. I'd do it again. I'd choose you every time.

boy (letter #1)

dear boy,

i am not one of those girls who gets all ready to go to the gym.
i am usually doing the opposite. taking my makeup off before the gym.
i am warning you, me at my worst is when i am at the gym.
so ummm…this whole "going to the gym together stuff"… kinda (really)SCARY! (not sure if I am more scared for you or me).
not only that… but i have seen my face after i have taken that group personal training class. yeah. i looked horrible (seriously, not an understatement). and i am pretty sure i scared some people (totally explains the weird looks when leaving). i scared myself. add to that being all sweaty. not pretty. and i am pretty sure i don’t smell that peachy either.
i am trying to figure out a way so that i drive tonight. instead of you. it would be easier if we went in my car. i could control the air. and my sweat would be on my car seats not yours… hmm… i’ll think of something.

sincerely,
worried gym goer
