Weekend Update

Wednesday – Left work early. Quick visit with Jessica. Nap. Mom and I went to Old Navy to stake out what we wanted for the Black Friday sale. Found a SUPER cute jacket. Only one jacket in my size and the color I wanted. Dinner with Tashina at Matta’s where I ate WAY too much. I haven’t felt that uncomfortable in a long time. We then went and saw Morning Glory. (really cute). Then went and got a Blizzard. Then decided we weren’t ready to be done and went back and saw Tangled (even cuter).

Thursday – TURKEY DAY! Woke up WAY too early… 6:22 to be exact… Checked my phone and saw an Old Navy email and saw that the outerwear started that day. Too excited to sleep. I really wanted my jacket. So got ready. My mom woke up just in time to come with me. She is a good shopper… she went in like she would tackle anyone that got close to that jacket. Got my jacket, another jacket, pajama bottoms that were only $5, and a cute shirt. We then went to Wal-Mart. Why you ask? Annoying people at Wal-Mart & having to wait 15 minutes for a receipt because we bought a newspaper. Lame! We got ready for our turkey meal at my Aunt’s house. GOOD food. Great times with the family. SHAY! Keith Urban Half-Time show during the Cowboys game. Family friend coming and staying at our house. Michael’s, which was crazy busy.Wanting to see Tangled. Not going. BLACK FRIDAY plans!

Friday – Leaving for Wal-Mart at 11:20 with Mom, Kaylee, and Tashina… Grabbing the movies before the sale. Oops. Seeing Jimmy and Jaron and making plans to help each other.. Getting ready to grab appliances as soon as midnight hit. Laughing too much and having too much fun. Waiting in line for a long time. Denny’s. Then Target. Umm. HUGE long line, no thank you going home. Slept a bit. Then going out shopping again, Target, Kohl’s, Michaels. At this point I was getting a bit grouchy. Yes me. Getting grouchy… it is possible. Visiting the Reynolds. Eating Dove Peppermint Bark and reading the promises. Purchasing a Cricut. Sad News. Once again wanting to go see Tangled. Which again didn’t happen. Walks to Circle K for Hot Chocolate and Red Box.

Saturday – Going to the Mall. A scary parking lot. Spending only $33 for 2 pairs of pants!! Elf. More visitors coming to stay with us. Falling asleep to Spongebob.Sunday - Church. Short nap. Back to another ward for Bree’s farewell. Another short nap. Reading some more Harry Potter. Elf. Reurning movies to Red Box in my PJ’s. Freezing cold outside!

Yes I did two things I said I would not do this weekend. Go to Wal-Mart and the Mall. And yes I went to Wal-Mart twice.

It was a crazy busy but fantastic weekend!!!! And guess what is just around the corner… MY BIRTHDAY!!! Woot woot! Well… and Christmas!

the TRUTH is....

… I love watching the Thanksgiving Day Parade. I just love the feeling it brings… maybe it’s excitement for Christmas…

…My favorite part of Thanksgiving…. It has to be the stuffing and gravy…. Oh how I look forward to that…oh how I dream of that….hmmm….gravy!!!!

…We put Christmas lights up in Tylon’s room yesterday… it will be his last Christmas before his mission…. His papers are being turned in Sunday… so he may get his call by December 9th… I may have cried a little bit… him leaving is NOT going to be easy…

…I really LOVE going Black Friday Shopping. I think it’s fun and exciting. (As long as you have a plan in order)

Weekend Update

FRIDAY - So I went to the Midnight showing of Harry Potter. I really liked it… I did get half way through the book… but the movie went farther than half way. But the movie was so good. The midnight showing was so fun. We got there at like 3:30… we were allowed in at 8:00… and then we chilled in the theater….talked, played some games. It was a blast! I got home and slept for 35 minutes and then had to go to work. I survived working 4 hours to go home and take a nap. I went and visited Jessica & Preston for a bit. Then Randon and Callie came in town. We stayed up late visiting. SO FUN!

SATURDAY – Slept in! (Still not caught up on sleep from the midnight showing). Went to Kmart and Target. Did some crafts. My mom convinced my dad to do a turkey dinner for just our immediate family as all the siblings were going to be over so we had a nice turkey dinner. It was delicious. Hello stuffing and gravy, my absolute favorite part. Played games and visited. 5 card MOW! With the girls. HILARIOUS! Then watched How to Train Your Dragon.

SUNDAY – After church Tylon was ordained an Elder. We had a little luncheon for family/friends that came and supported him. Then NAP TIME!!! Naps on Sunday are the best. Ended the night with a fireside.

I had a great weekend and I am looking forward to a short work week!!!!

The Truth is...

…My Dad passed along a link to the Black Friday ads… There is Cricut on sale and I want it. I want it badly!

…okay… I will admit. I love the Darcy in the new(er) version of P&P. I hear good things about the Darcy in the long BBC version. I own that version; just haven’t seen it. One reason besides lack of time… Colin Firth plays Darcy… really… not my version of Darcy. Okay…that was a big confession… I just see him dancing and singing like in Mama Mia.

…Harry Potter is constantly on my mind as I am reading book 7. Like I wish I could send my mom a Patronus message about that Cricut. {She also wants one.}

…I used to hate hot chocolate. I thought it tasted like barf. Now that I can add sugar and more chocolate… It's all good!

…I am really really excited for Harry Potter tomorrow… the fun begins at 3:00 when we go stand in line… Midnight showings are so fun, love the experiences!!!!

Weekend Update

Umm… Monday is already here. Obviously.
I had a long 4 day weekend. It was marvelous!
And all weekend I just kept telling myself… go slow…go slow…please go slow.
And it did. For the most part.
But because it was such a long weekend…I’ll highlight the exciting stuff…. Okay…really it’s just the stuff I remember….

-Sleeping
-Card Making…lots and lots of card making…over 75 I think. {Possible Christmas Card Giveaway in the near future….}
-breakfast with the family….French Toast!
-The Scrapbook Store, Hobby Lobby, Michaels, and Target
-Bowling and the discovery of a new game…Butt Darts
-Stake Conference
-reading Harry Potter 7…almost half way done…almost
-chats with my sister
-Pumpkin Cheesecake-being cold and freezing…and learning that Sonics Hot Chocolate is not good. {don’t waste your money}
-Extreme joy, that tears almost came, when I saw my first bag of Dove Peppermint Bark
-Card making with Jessica...introducing her to the above pieces of chocolate heaven... and Preston time!
-Walking to Red Box at 12:30 in the morning with my brother to rent ‘How to Train Your Dragon’ and proceed to have a sleep over in my room. Fun Times!

It was a good weekend…I just wish I could fast forward to after the gym today… that would be nice!

Hope this week goes quickly in general... Harry Potter 7 midnight showing is on the schedule!!!!!

The Truth is...

… Yesterday I was texting my friend, Kaylee. I was on my way home from work and decided to grab some lunch. Went through the drive thru and she is right in front of me…all the while we have been texting for the past couple hours. SO FUNNY! And so random…I laughed so much… it was the weirdest thing!

…I won first place in a beach babe modeling contest. {Don’t worry it wasn’t recent…haha} I think I was like 6. I’ll have to get that picture scanned in and uploaded here.

…I can’t believe I am going to be 26 in a little over a month. Kind of depressing.

…This Saturday will mark 2 years since I had the weight loss surgery (vertical sleeve) done. I can’t believe it has been 2 years.

…I am drinking my first cup of hot chocolate this morning. It is brightening my day. And the fact it’s out of my Spongebob Squarepants mug just makes it that much better.

Weekedn Update

Friday – I went to Jessica’s right after work and visited and played with Preston for a few hours. We went to lunch at Olive Garden where our food was delicious. Hooray for breadsticks. {Why must they ask if you want more breadsticks…really… do people say no?} Afterwards I went home and napped. Talked to my sister for a bit on the phone. I also read the first chapter of Harry Potter 7. I need to speed things up as I am going to see the midnight showing. Watched How to Train your Dragon…seriously LOVED that movie… so cute.

Saturday – Woke up at like 9:20 and we made breakfast together as a family. Biscuits and gravy and eggs. YUM! I worked on my hair flowers got the last bit of the backs glued on and they are finished, finally. I also watched Letters to Juliet…which I thought was really cute. It was Amanda’s (Jadon’s wife) birthday Friday so we all went to lunch/dinner. So fun to be with family. I love it! I went to the state fair for the first time as well. Had so much fun and did everything that I believe was part of the first time fair experience, everything I was told to do anyways. I did this one ride that was so scary but fun… I got to the top and as we waited for the people to load on the other end I was ready to get down… but I survived and would have gone again.

Sunday – after a beautiful nap Shay came to visit… love when she comes over. Went to a CES fireside that was so good. And talked to friends for awhile. Slept horribly! It’s a short week for me. I only work 3 days as I have a holiday and then vacation day. I am so excited!!!

The Truth Is...

…I don’t care much for the music of John Mayer, Nickelback, or Evanescence. {Don’t judge}

…I am thinking I want to make a lot of my Christmas gifts this year! The question now is do I have the mindset to get all that I want made, made??? ...hmm…I better get my work on.

…ummm…no gym this week… too many things happening that I won’t make it… ugh… I kinda hate that…but what can I do…oh well…it’s just this week… I’ll be back next week…{yes, I am talking to myself}

…I sometimes forget that people aren’t awake when I am… (on work days) … I’ll think of texting someone and then remember that they probably are not awake yet. Lame!

… I haven’t read the last Harry Potter book. The movie is coming out soon… I need to get on that! It is on my bedside shelf at least… been there for a LONG time…
