Weekend Update

Wednesday – Left work early. Quick visit with Jessica. Nap. Mom and I went to Old Navy to stake out what we wanted for the Black Friday sale. Found a SUPER cute jacket. Only one jacket in my size and the color I wanted. Dinner with Tashina at Matta’s where I ate WAY too much. I haven’t felt that uncomfortable in a long time. We then went and saw Morning Glory. (really cute). Then went and got a Blizzard. Then decided we weren’t ready to be done and went back and saw Tangled (even cuter).

Thursday – TURKEY DAY! Woke up WAY too early… 6:22 to be exact… Checked my phone and saw an Old Navy email and saw that the outerwear started that day. Too excited to sleep. I really wanted my jacket. So got ready. My mom woke up just in time to come with me. She is a good shopper… she went in like she would tackle anyone that got close to that jacket. Got my jacket, another jacket, pajama bottoms that were only $5, and a cute shirt. We then went to Wal-Mart. Why you ask? Annoying people at Wal-Mart & having to wait 15 minutes for a receipt because we bought a newspaper. Lame! We got ready for our turkey meal at my Aunt’s house. GOOD food. Great times with the family. SHAY! Keith Urban Half-Time show during the Cowboys game. Family friend coming and staying at our house. Michael’s, which was crazy busy.Wanting to see Tangled. Not going. BLACK FRIDAY plans!

Friday – Leaving for Wal-Mart at 11:20 with Mom, Kaylee, and Tashina… Grabbing the movies before the sale. Oops. Seeing Jimmy and Jaron and making plans to help each other.. Getting ready to grab appliances as soon as midnight hit. Laughing too much and having too much fun. Waiting in line for a long time. Denny’s. Then Target. Umm. HUGE long line, no thank you going home. Slept a bit. Then going out shopping again, Target, Kohl’s, Michaels. At this point I was getting a bit grouchy. Yes me. Getting grouchy… it is possible. Visiting the Reynolds. Eating Dove Peppermint Bark and reading the promises. Purchasing a Cricut. Sad News. Once again wanting to go see Tangled. Which again didn’t happen. Walks to Circle K for Hot Chocolate and Red Box.

Saturday – Going to the Mall. A scary parking lot. Spending only $33 for 2 pairs of pants!! Elf. More visitors coming to stay with us. Falling asleep to Spongebob.Sunday - Church. Short nap. Back to another ward for Bree’s farewell. Another short nap. Reading some more Harry Potter. Elf. Reurning movies to Red Box in my PJ’s. Freezing cold outside!

Yes I did two things I said I would not do this weekend. Go to Wal-Mart and the Mall. And yes I went to Wal-Mart twice.

It was a crazy busy but fantastic weekend!!!! And guess what is just around the corner… MY BIRTHDAY!!! Woot woot! Well… and Christmas!

I had Wednesday off work…one word. Wonderful.
Randon and Callie came in town on Wednesday. Mom, Callie, and I went with Amanda to go dress shopping…and that was so fun. {in case you have forgotten she will be marrying my brother} She is absolutely beautiful and I was honored to be able to go with her. She had luck because she fell in love {we all did} with the first dress she tried on. Absolutely gorgeous. But your dress shopping…so we made her try on several more….why not feel like a princess and try one gorgeous dress after dress. After dress shopping Callie and I went and saw New Moon. {yup, third time for me, not even tired of it yet}. 

Thursday was THANKSGIVING! And oh how fun that was. We reserved a room in the stake center since we had so many people there. It was so great to see family. We had some family come from Utah that I have not seen in years.  I loved catching up and seeing everyone. After I {well we} stuffed our faces…we played some volleyball. So fun…I absolutely love to play volleyball. That night the girls crafted some cards. Christmas cards to be specific.

Friday...oh the fun…so I found out that the nearby mall was doing this midnight madness… yeah…midnight…{mind you I had to be to work at 5 AM} The big sale was spend a total of $100 and you got a $50 gift card for the mall. So…my Mom, Dad, and I hit the mall….and we had a plan {took awhile to come up with}…but it really helped. My mom waited by guest services while my Dad and I scrambled to spend $100 at Down East Basics. We did. Easily. As soon as he got the receipt I ran it to my mom…and we were able to get our $50 gift card…{after waiting forever}…but we did get it. My parents braved Bath & Body Works while I was in line…and then we went to Victoria’s Secret…I’ll admit I walked in and walked right back out. That line was crazy. But my mom talked me into waiting in line…a free bag with a bow was the goal…super cute. So I waited in line. We finally made it out of there….It was sure fun though. I loved our Black Friday shopping this year…I would much rather stay up late then get up early…After grabbing a bite to eat I got in 1.5 hours of sleep before getting up for work. Surprisingly work was not too bad…only working 4 hours. I came right home and slept. Friday night we had a bonfire at my Uncle’s. {you know how I love that bonfire smell, and I left my purse at home this time}.

Saturday we had a family BBQ at the park. More Fun! I will say it was FREEZING!!! So cold. And then some of us went to my grandparents to visit some more. 

It was such a great weekend! And I can’t believe its December {tomorrow}….
