Weekend Update

This weekend was crazy!
Friday...I picked my Mom up from work. We hit some stores and stopped by to see Baby Daniel. That boy is a trooper. We ran a few errands and made it home to make 3 cakes. Yes, 3...for cake balls. I then went out with Amanda and Heather to run some more errands. Get some Christmas shopping done. And made it back home to finish up the cake balls. Mom and I dipped them in chocolate...THEE worst part of the whole process. I am so grateful my Mom was there to help me. THANK YOU Mom!
Saturday was Jessica's baby shower. It was so fun to finally see all the work come together. I posted pictures over at Oh Snap...so go check it out. The Shower was a huge success. {Thank You Sam, Suzi, and Natalie.} I then went with my Mom to get a Mani & Pedi. {Happy Birthday to ME!} It was so nice to get one...I have not had that done since March. Saturday night there was an activity where we went to go see the Temple Lights and then went for some pizza. It was tons of fun. I was so happy it was not too cold. I think the pizza place was colder than walking around outside at the temple.
I am so looking forward to having tomorrow off...YAY!
And maybe. just maybe. I will not wake up at 7:20 am with a headache.
I hope you all had a LOVELY weekend!!!

Baby Daniel

Daniel

This is my cousin {Brandi's) son. Daniel.
Daniel is only 9 months old.
They found that he had a brain tumor and got news yesterday that the tumor was cancerous.
A very rare type of cancer called Anapastic Astrocytoma.
Daniel and his family have a long road ahead.
Soon on his SITE there will be a way to donate money to help the family.
{I will let you know when that happens}
But right now...I am simply asking for your prayers for him and his family at this time.
Please take a button and spread the word!
THANK YOU!

Randomness

After a year you would think I would learn to wait to drink water after I eat… well I obviously haven’t learned that yet. It hurts when I do that. Dumb me!

Today’s work day dragged on forever. Maybe it’s because I didn’t have any chocolate. Yeah. I think that’s it.

I need to find a dusty purple shirt/top/blouse. Whatever you call it for the wedding in February. I am already worried I won’t find one. Yes. I like to be prepared.

It looks like someone threw up Christmas in our building at work. It’s nice and festive. But I wish it all matched.

I am still thinking about the Biggest Loser Finale. Amazing!

I am grateful for the kindness of Amy at Our Daily Blessing… She is so sweetly sending my cousin some goodies as her son is in the hospital. You can read more about him HERE…I will be posting about baby Daniel shortly!

There was ice on my windshield this morning. Yuck! And I could see my breath. Gross!!! I think I probably look ridiculous in the morning with my heater blasting. And me wearing my jacket…a blanket…and gloves. I’m a wimp!

I am trying something new. Headbands. I am in love with so many of the ones I am seeing. I just can’t get them to stay on right. Hmm…

Weekend Update

Wow…this weekend sure went by super fast…
Was it just me??? Or do you think so too….
I am thinking that December in general just goes by super fast….there is just so much going on…

Friday…I met up with a a friend I have not seen in over a year {since she got married} we went to the Cheesecake Factory. {Oh how I love that place} It was so nice to see her and catch up! Randon and Callie down this weekend. So fun!

Saturday….I met my cousin {Shaylen} for lunch at Liberty Market. I absolutely love this girl! It was so good to chat. I then went over to Sam’s where we put together the majority of the decoration for Jessica’s shower this coming Saturday. It was so fun…and those girls {Sam & Suzi} sure cranked out the décor fast. It was wonderful. I will post pictures after the shower this weekend. The rest of the evening was spent with my amazing family. I loved it!

Oh…and we got our Christmas Tree. We will be decorating it tonight…I love the smell of a real Christmas tree!!!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!!!!

Movie Quote Friday!

Elf
Papa Elf: Oh, hello. You're, uh, you're probably here about the story. Elves love to tell stories. I-I'll bet you didn't know that about elves. There's, uh, probably a lot of things you didn't know about elves. Another, another interesting, uh, elfism, uh, there are only three jobs available to an elf. The first is making shoes at night while, you know, while the old cobbler sleeps.
Disgruntled Cobbler Elf: Lazy bum! Couldn't even make a clog!

Papa Elf: You can bake cookies in a tree. As you can imagine, it's, uh, dangerous having an oven in an oak tree during the dry season. But the third job, some call it, uh, "the show" or "the big dance," it's the profession that every elf aspires to. And that is to build toys in Santa's workshop

Buddy: Actually, I'm a human, but I was raised by elves.
Carolyn: I'm a human... raised by humans.

Buddy: Cool.
___________________________________________________________________
Buddy: I passed through the seven levels of the Candy Cane forest, through the sea of swirly twirly gum drops, and then I walked through the Lincoln Tunnel.

Gimbel's Manager: [after Buddy has decorated the entire toy department] Hey guys, you seen the place? Pretty good, they must have brought in a professional. I dunno why, but someone's gunning for my job. But look, let's stick together on this. If you get wind of anything, call me on my radio. Channel three, code word is "Santa's got a brand new bag".
________________________________________________________________________
Jovie: How come you were in the women's locker room this morning?
Buddy: I heard you singing.
Jovie: Are you sure it had nothing to do with the fact that I was naked in the shower?
Buddy: I didn't know you were naked.

Elf: It's okay, Buddy. Just how many Etch-A-Sketches did you make?
Buddy: I made... 85.
Elf: 85. Well, that puts you... 915 off the pace.
Buddy: Why don't you just say it? I'm the worst toy-maker in the world. I'm a Cotton-Headed Ninnymuggins!

Buddy: [out of breath from chasing Michael] Wow, you're fast. I'm glad I caught up to you. I waited 5 hours for you. Why is your coat so big? So, good news - I saw a dog today. Have you seen a dog? You probably have. How was school? Was it fun? Did you get a lot of homework? Huh? Do you have any friends? Do you have a best friend? Does he have a big coat, too?...
Michael: - Go away !

Buddy: Sounds like somebody needs to sing a Christmas Carol.
Jovie: No way.
Buddy: The best way to spread Christmas Cheer, is singing loud for all to hear.
Jovie: Thanks, but I don't sing.
Buddy: Oh, well, it's just like talking, except longer and louder, and you move your voice up and down.
Jovie: I *can* sing, I just choose *not* to sing. Especially in front of other people.
Buddy: If you can sing alone, you sing in front of other people. There's no difference.
Jovie: Actually, there's a BIG difference.
Buddy: No there's not. Wait...
[Starts singing loud and off-key]
Buddy: I'm singing/I'm in a store/and I'm siiiiiingiiiiing!/I'm in a store/and I'm siiiiiingiiiiing!
Gimbel's Manager: HEY! There's no singin' in the North Pole!
Buddy: Yes there is!
Gimbel's Manager: No there's not!
Buddy: We sing all the time!
Gimbel's Manager: No you don't!
Buddy: Especially when we build toys!
[Back to Jovie]
Buddy: See?

{This is one of my favorite Christmas movies...I love it!
I definitely watch it more than once. Never gets old!
What are some of your favorites????}
