Cruise: Part 3 Ensenada, Mexico

Ensenada, Mexico
Mexico was probably my favorite part. It was the first time I have ever been there.
I had so much fun!
all us girls on the tour bus to go to La Bufadora and the Flea Market
Rachel and I on the bus
Tashina and I
at La Bufadora...aka The Blowhole...
We definitely got wet!
It was really neat to see and so pretty!
Here I am with my Mexican fiance at the Flea Market.
He proposed. Mainly to get me into his store. It worked.
This was back on the ship with Mexico in the background.
I loved Mexico.
We walked around for hours, almost lost a couple girls, spent lots of money, and were proposed too. I got some delicious Churro's and bought a really pretty fire opal ring. We went and spent some time in Ensenada too exploring their Main Street! I even got some Thrifty Ice Cream... it was fantastic!!!! We got off the ship again at night to see the ship from the outside at night time all lit up. It was awesome.

Cruise: Part 2 Catalina Island

Catalina Island, CAOur pedicured feetsies
I look like I just woke up!
Rachel and I heading to Catalina
{Tashina and I: that's self explanatory}

We spent a few hours there just walking around and shopping. It was pretty cold. I must have taken my jacket on and off like 50 times. It was a cute little town.

Cruise: Part 1

So... I went on a cruise...
I went with 4 other girls and we hung out in Long Beach a couple days before we disembarked...
Tashina, Me, Amanda, Rachel, and Carolina
I LOVE the beach! We went to Huntington Beach as soon as we got there, seriously one of my favorite places in the world!!!This is right when we were boarded on ship. It was pretty awesome!
I had the motion sickness patch so I didn't get sick.
The first night and the last night were the only times I really noticed the ship moving, it was just a really odd feeling to have. One of my favorite things on ship ... the strawberry pina colada... they were delicious. We spent a lot of time laying out and relaxing... which if you heard me say anything about this trip that was my number one thing to do... It felt so good to just relax and soak in the sun! This was formal night... with another one of those tasty drinks!
Me on my bunk
All 5 of us girls shared a room. Tashina and I go top bunk and the others were on the bottom.
Overall I really had a lot of fun... learned some things about next time, about people...
but I loved it and had so much fun! Rachel made a DVD of the cruise and I wish I could post it... but I think the file is much too big...

Part 2 and Part 3 are when we embarked... first at Catalina Island, CA and then Ensenada, Mexico

an understanding...

Sometimes I wonder why I am not married.

Sometimes I receive a tender mercy helping me understand.

I can honestly look back and say I am grateful I didn’t get married years ago.

(Not that there was an opportunity too, but because I never thought I would be 26 and single, I had hoped to be married way before now.)

But things don’t happen the way we want.

Sometimes we have to be patient.

Sometimes we don’t see the big picture.

I can look back and see I would never be who I am today without the experience and opportunities I have had.

I wouldn’t have the relationships I have with friends that I do now.

I wouldn’t have the relationship I have with my family that I do now.

I wouldn’t have the confidence or the self-assurance of who I am.

I can look back and be grateful for that.

It doesn’t mean its fun, this being single.

Because it’s really not.

Sometimes... sometimes it just makes it easier.

...here's to more learning and growing will I wait... patiently...

the truth is...

… I am a slacker. Specifically at blogging lately. I think part of it is I have had some comments recently about what people read on my blog… they see me do this and that and make a comment about it and so then I get bothered. Like I can’t really share what I want too because it will bite me in the butt or something… kind of frustrating…

…. 25 days till my cruise… I have all the clothes I need… well maybe one more sundress wouldn’t hurt…

… the thought of finding my future Mr. seems impossible sometimes. Seriously… think about it… I plan to marry someone of my faith…narrows the men pool by quite a few… add to that someone with the same standards… taller than me… attracted to me, and me to him… that alone narrows things down immensely… so maybe sometimes I feel like giving up on the whole thing… just sometimes…

… I am over 1600 pushups into this pushup challenge… you think it counts if I am doing them on my knees… oh well, I’ll still do it even if it doesn’t.

..Elder Walters has been gone a week today.

Some pics...

The baby showers are done...
We had Callie's a couple week's back and it was fun to do one for a girl.
It was my first girl baby shower.
My mom and I made tutu's and hung them as decoration.
I am pretty jealous of all the tutu's she is getting.
Now I am patiently waiting for the little nephew and niece to arrive!

Walters girls at Callie's shower.
(Mom, Amanda, Callie, Shay, Me)

This is probably the first time picture posted of my dark hair too...
Tashina and I at a friends house for a get together.
Me and Natalie. She is the cutest thing ever.
She also inspired me to get feathers in my hair. hopefully. for the cruise!

what's going on??

- Tylon leaves in 6 days…. 6 DAYS!!!
- We had Callie’s baby shower last weekend. That little girl has a tutu for each day of the week. I might be jealous!
- I am pretty convinced that painting your nails gold can make you instantly happy.
- I am still looking for a new dress. The one I ordered from Target won’t be here till mid-May. In time for the cruise I guess. But I only have till Sunday to find one… hmm…where to look…
- I started this 3000 challenge yesterday… I started late so I get to do more than 100 a day (112 to be exact)… yesterday I did 136… so far today I have done 20. My arms already hate me.
- I have been in a bit of a blogging funk… have you noticed??
