Movie Quote Friday!

Moulin Rouge

Toulouse-Lautrec: I got it, I got it. Christian.
[shouts]
Toulouse-Lautrec: The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return.
Christian: It's a little bit funny.
Satine: What?
Christian: This feeling inside. I'm not one of those who can easily hide. Is this ok? Is this what you want?
Satine: Ah, poetry. Yes, this it what I want naughty words.
Christian: I don't have much money but boy if I did, I'd buy a big house where we both could live. If I were a sculptor, but then again, no. Or a man who makes potions a traveling show. I know it's not much...
Satine: Oh Naughty, don't stop, don't stop.
Christian: But it's the best I can do.
[sings]
Christian: My gift is my song. And this one's for you. And You Can Tell Everybody That this is your song. It may be quite simple but now that it's done. I hope you don't mind I hope You don't mind That I put down in words... How Wonderful Life is Now you're in the world
Satine: Besides, I can't fall in love with anyone
Christian: Can't... fall... in love? But, a life without love, that's... terrible...
Satine: No, being on the street, that's terrible.
Christian: No! Love is like oxygen!
Satine: What?
Christian: Love is a many splendored thing. Love lifts us up where we belong. All you need is love!
Christian: [bursts out into song]
The Duke: I don't like this ending...
Zidler: Don't like the ending, my dear Duke?
The Duke: Why should the courtesan chose the penniless sitar player over the maharajah who is offering her a lifetime of security? That's real love. Once the sitar player has satisfied his lust he will leave her with nothing. I suggest that the courtesan chose the maharajah.
Toulouse-Lautrec: But, but tell me, that ending does not uphold the Bohemian ideals of truth, beauty, freedom, and...
The Duke: [shouts] I don't care about your ridiculous dogma! Why shouldn't the courtesan chose the maharajah?
Christian: [shouts] Because she doesn't love you!... Him... Hi-him, she doesn't love... she doesn't love him.
The Duke: Oh, I see... Monsieur Zidler, the play will be rewritten with the courtesan choosing the maharajah and without the lovers' secret song. It will be rehearsed in the morning, ready for the opening tomorrow night...
Zidler: But, my dear Duke, that will be quite impossible.
Satine: Harold, the Duke is being treated appallingly. These silly writers let their imaginations run away with themselves. Why don't you and I have a little supper, and then we can tell Monsieur Zidler how we would like the story to end.
Satine: I don't need you anymore! All my life you made believe I was only worth what someone would pay for me! But Christian loves me. He loves me! He loves me, Harold. And that is worth everything! We're going away from you, away from the Duke, away from the Moulin Rouge!
Christian and Satine: Come what may, I will love you until my dying day.
Christian: [voiceover and typing] Days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months. And then, one not-so-very special day, I went to my typewriter, I sat down, and I wrote our story. A story about a time, a story about a place, a story about the people. But above all things, a story about love. A love that will live forever. The End.
Christian: [voiceover, singing] The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return.

The first time I saw this movie I thought whoever made it had to be on drugs. But then I could not stop thinking about it and couldn't stop singing the songs. I fell in love with Ewan McGregor in this movie... during this scene in particular...

Uh....

Uh Fiona…can you come here for a minute…
Umm…remember when we went to Tucson and you hit that bird on the freeway?
I kind of thought that was an accident.
Mom came home yesterday.
She said {once again while you were on the freeway} you hit a rabbit.
A. RABBIT. On. The. Freeway.
Now I am getting concerned and hoping this is not a hobby of yours.

Weekend Update

{Amanda and I last weekend at a friends gig}

This weekend was crazy!
And it started almost immediately.
I met Jessica at the movies to see The Time Traveler’s Wife.
I LOVED it!!!! So much better than what I was thinking.
It could be confusing but once you understand what’s going on it all makes sense.
It was so good. I cannot wait to read the book…{thanks to the lead up of the movie on Micaela’s blog.}
The rest of the weekend was a multi-stake YSA activity.
Friday was a BBQ and pool party.
Saturday morning we had some great classes on dating, finance, and finding joy in the journey.
Amanda and I snuck home to take a nap and then get ready for the dance that night.
It was fun. I do wish I could dance. {Amanda once you get up and walking we will tear up that dance floor.}
The conference ended on Sunday with a great fireside.
I was able to meet a lot of new people and be uplifted by the spirit.

Movie Quote Friday!

Catch and Release

Fritz: I owe you an apology.
Gray: Just one?
Fritz: For ruining the funeral.
Gray: Yeah, if it hadn't been for you, that would've been one great day.
Gray: I told them all the great things I know about you and there were a lot. I was up there for a while. I didn't tell them everything, though. I left out the complicated stuff, like how it took losing you forever for me to truly find you. And how finding you turned me into someone else entirely. That's not what they came for. People want to hear you were great. Not that were great, but also, sometimes, not so great. They want to know I miss you. Not that while I've been missing you, I've fallen for someone else. It's weird, though. I feel like the only one who would understand this is you. In a way, that makes sense. He was the one person you were yourself around. Of course he'd be that same person for me. Anyway, I left all that out and I kept it simple. I told them I loved you and that's the truth.
Gray: What's your favorite color?
Fritz: Gray.
Sam: There falls no shadow where there shines no sun.
Gray: I never understood why he was friends with you. You don't even seem like you miss him.
Gray: How could you leave me alone with this people? You know how I hate crowds.
Gray: I think catch and release fisherman are heartless weenies. I think putting a fish through agony for nothing more than your own entertainment is just plain cruel. I think if you're going to torture a living thing if, you're going to make it look into the eyes of its maker, face its own puny little place in the universe, then, for God's sake, have the decency to eat it! Fritz: What took you so long?

{I LOVE this movie...So good...If you have not seen it GO watch it!!!! And you should know by now that all the movies I post I recommend!}

Confession Wednesday

I have a fear of balloons.
For as long as I can remember I have been scared of them.
Helium ones don't bother me.
It’s the normal balloons you blow up yourself.
I think it’s the popping that scares me.
I have gotten better over the years but I still kind of cringe around them.

{I remember when I was younger for a family fun night my parents pinned little balloons on us and inside the balloons were things we had to do. I hated that activity. The fact that I had them pinned to me and then on top of that had to pop them. Oh I hated it. }

Dear Target

Dear Target,
This is why I have not seen you in awhile. This is also why I can't see you that often. I am sorry our relationship has to be like this but it just does. You definitely do not help my addiction. You make it worse. I am sorry.

Can you see my problem?
I will see you again soon.
Another pay day perhaps.

Movie Quote Friday!

Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken

{This is one of my all time favorite movies. It's a classic.
I remember growing up and watching this movie.
A great classic! And I just now realized it's a Disney, had no idea!}

Marie: You poor thing. Who does your hair?
Sonora: Well, I do.
Marie: Sonora, you have to be extremely careful with your appearance. I mean, having no natural beauty of your own you really need to help yourself.
Doctor Carver: Can you shovel manure?
Sonora: Manure just happens to be my specialty.
Al: Why did you never answer any of my letters?
Sonora: I never got any letters.
Al: Well, I wrote you just about everyday.
Sonora: What did you say?
Al: Stuff.
Sonora: What kind of stuff?
Al: Well... you know... stuff!
Sonora: I can do it because I can do anything!
Sonora: I found my destiny, not in far off places but within myself.

Weekend Update

Did anyone elses weekend go by in a blur?
I don't think it's fair.
I want a do-over.
Although it was a lot of fun...just went by too fast.
Friday I went over to Jessica's. We chatted. And. Spiffed up her blog.
I love visiting and just talking with friends. It is the best.
{Thanks Jessica}
Saturday morning I went over to Samantha's. and Suzi, Sam and I made cards.
Sam made the most.
{I was very content holding baby Ethan most of the time}
Once again...grateful for good friends!!!
My Mom and I hit Dillard's they were having a pretty good sale.
I found some work-out pants
{Although I wish I could have found more}
And then Amanda and I went and saw the new Harry Potter movie.
{I liked it, better than what I thought. Now I want to read the last book, since I haven't yet}
Sunday we attended our new ward. at a new time {noon}.
I really liked it. I was surprised at how large our ward is still.
We have the smallest boundaries in the stake.
Sunday ended in a fun game night.
Playing signs.
Which I am sure grateful my brother {Jadon} is quick at accepting and passing those signs.
I always passed to him.

I hope your weekend was lovely!
