Set back...

Alright....well... my surgery was scheduled this past Thursday the 23rd. It was canceled because my blood pressure was too high...so after going to get medicine from my family doctor today I have had it rescheduled for November the 13th...the earliest they can get me in. I was quite bummed but there is some reason for this...hopefully I will find out. Thanks to everyone for their love and support.

Alright...Here are the pictures. It was a blast. I LOVE Dashboard Confessional! Chris Carrabba is amazing and once again kicked out a great show. I am looking forward to his new CD coming out next year.

1. When I get tired and I am ready to go to bed I start scratching my head.

2. I sleep with a blanket up around my neck. So I have my regular blanket and then a smaller one that goes up around my neck.

3. I am obsessive-compulsice about a few things.... you would have to talk to my sister to find those out...

4. I HATE skunks. They scare me. The last couple years I went to Girl's Camp we has skunk problems there. One night, after showering. I was heading back to the cabin...I got up to the porch and saw a skunk on the porch I ran back down and had to wait for a little while. I finally was able to make it back in the cabin, when I got in the other cabin mom told me they saw a couple skunks around the back of the cabin....UGH!

5. I am NOT a morning talker....I need some time to wake up.

6. My time for ME is the drive to and from work. Since the drive is over 30 minutes I can just think.

7. I have been told I hum in my sleep....okay, I know I do this I have woken myself up a few times because of it.

3 Weeks!

I finally got my surgery date....October 23rd....3 weeks from today!
I am super excited, nervous, scared...all of the above. I am so happy to be getting this done so soon as I was expecting a date in November.
So, as I write this I am drinking my last Diet Dr. Pepper...I will no longer be able to drink soda and so I told myself once I got the date from surgery, I would stop...farewell sweet nectar!

It was hard to decide if this was information I wanted to just share and put out there. Sharing it feels like the best thing to do...
So....
After a long process of different appointments with doctor's, nutritionists' and psychologists' and 2 WEEKS of waiting to hear from insurance I have been approved to have a Vertical Gasterectomy (aka the Vertical Sleeve). It is a weight loss surgery which will be a tool to help me lose weight. The surgery is done laproscopically where they will remove 85% of my stomach. Leaving me with a stomach that looks like a slim banana. It will be able to hold anywhere from 1-5 ounces. I have been going to support groups with my mom which I must say are really helpful. Thanks Mom for all your support and help in this!!!! I am super excited and waiting to hear back for scheduling. I will let you know when I get a date.

TucSoN

I went to Tucson this past weekend to hangout with Randon and Callie. It was so nice to see them. Chelsea came along with me and we spent most of the day Saturday with Callie shopping.
Callie found some super cute glasses... and we were able to go visit Randon while he was studying at U of A on Saturday. It was neat to see where he spends the majority of his days.
We had a great time hanging out and visiting with them!
